I don't know when it started but I have this love affair with cooking/baking and all things French. Though we are Haitian, a large part of my family studied in France, and as a result we are very francophilic.
Many times in life I had wanted to leave what I was doing to pursue my culinary dreams, getting as close to getting an application at the French Culinary Institute here in the city. Thus far it hasn't happened and life has had other plans for me I am amongst many things a Course Instructor, Bioinformatician/Data Manager.
I joke around with my wife and tell her that later one in life I will open up a cool bakery called Chez Paquiot's or some swanky French sounding name. Pendant ce temps ( in the meanwhile) I work quietly in the kitchen when I am not to tired, trying to better my skills slowly. My lovely wife acts as my taste taster and always answers" huhn" after tasting and trying my delicacies.
